And, we do not have a socialist government, if we did America would be a happy place - the wealthy French in their history agreed to pay 90% tax because the poor were in need. Can you imagine that ever happening in the US. I am as far from statism/totalitarianism as Hitler was from embracing the Jewish faith. Look up Woodbine Willy, he was a real Christian, as St Francis was. Anyway, it looks as though we should just part as friends and say our adieu.... take care and be safe.... 1Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote Perhaps Joan of Arc and Cromwell shouldn't have existed. Perhaps even the Magna Carta was wrong - these were all actions against the deep state of their time. There is NO democracy in America anymore - it is a duopoly that wishes to remain in power and will do anything to remain so. 1Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote I could write a book on this but I'm sure that's not what you want - Chavez was a good man and may have been corrupted by the CIA or whoever. America is most definitely not an example of good behavior. In actual fact, if they stopped meddling in the affaires of other countries then the world would be a better place - Central America is in the mess it is because of our interference. As for Cuba Castro pulled them out of the horrors of Bautista. Lastly, America is state controlled and slavery is becoming rampant, or, are you so comfortable you are not noticing what's going on. This I'm afraid is the comfort and apathy of the American people which is causing the deep state to grow in power - Chavez and Castro in comparison are saints... 3 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: William O. Douglas quote Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Justice Arthur Goldberg quote Hence force flag central USA... 911 was an example and look where it has taken us..... 2 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Franklin Pierce quote Hence the danger of the EU, NATO, IMF, Central Banks, and of course the USA. 1Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote His death unfortunately was the opportunity the CIA was waiting for. His illness (cancer) is still suspect... otherwise he would have been elected for the fifth time... 2Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote Archer, there are many great articles about Chavez here's one of many: Charlie Devereux & Raymond Colitt. 7 March 2013. "Venezuelans' Quality of Life Improved in UN Index Under Chavez". Bloomberg L.P. Archived from the original on 7 November 2014. Retrieved 7 March 2013. 3Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/31/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote Yes, Chavez made sure the people had health care, food, and education - "for wealth or power" I cant believe you said this. The last thing Chavez was money grabbing dictator. This is why the rich hated him. I don't know exactly what resource you are using for your information but you are wrong. Unfortunately, Venezuela is yet another example of American imperialism. What he should have done is have Russian bases in Venezuela. America is making the whole of central America into a CIA operation. You say the CIA are all over central America - then THEY are the elephant in the room. Chavez was elected with a vast majority of the people - it was the CIA and the right wing that tried to fix the election - America is now the world tyrant... And as for the people being more oppressed that has to be a CIA and MSM mem - I'm sorry but you are wrong on this subject which confuses me as you are usually more informed. 2Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/30/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote Archer, you are of course correct though - Archer, Venezuela, having the biggest oil reserves, has been a pawn in the US foreign policy, And, has been subject to CIA and other US interference. Venezuela was never really given a full chance to recover. HC was democratically elected - he is NOT a dictator. I am tire of MSM always report misleading news. I agree, it's time for the states to assert their right and to leave the corruption of DC. Perhaps you should run as an independent??? Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/29/17 re: Calvin Coolidge quote Perhaps we should pass a bill to kill bad bills... 3 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/29/17 re: Oliver Cromwell quote The quote is spot on! Because of Parliaments corruption and self interest, Cromwell, in 1653 dissolves Parliament with these words: "You have sat to long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!" Perhaps we should do the same in America. Cromwell, we need you here, in the new world, to rid our government of corruption and self interest. If only a man existed that could pull us out of the mire - alas we are to deep into the matrix, and the people have been totally lobotomized. 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/21/17 re: Martin Pawley quote Yes, very few like to work in finding out what's happening... they would rather tell you to do it! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/21/17 re: George Herron quote Not true, there has been three...... and I'm sure there are a few others... None of them American or European... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/16/17 re: Marvin Johnson quote Though correct, our opinion means little (if not nothing) to the current political system - It is corrupt to the core, and only listens to their deep state masters and psychopaths like Soros - they get what they want with provocateurs and their proxy terrorist factions. We must fight to take back the America that once had integrity, reason, and honor. Our two enemies, silence and order followers. Until we rid the corridors of power of these sycophants and the deep state, nothing will change, it will only spiral into oblivion... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/16/17 re: Lord Acton quote Lord Acton, one of my favorites.... because they try and turn it into absolute power... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/7/17 re: D. H. Lawrence quote We are losing individual liberty every day and have been since the end of WWll and 911 - and the way things are going there will be no individual liberty to discuss - we have no choice. Unfortunately, the "nation" no longer has the interest of individual liberty. And as for divine intervention, there is none! Mind you, when DHL wrote this it was a lot more attainable; today, it's only a distant cloud on the horizon... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/4/17 re: Maria Montessori quote Free and Independence are both titles in the book of life and have no reality in the world with live. Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/4/17 re: Albert Einstein quote A no brainer... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/1/17 re: A. J. P. Taylor quote History is changed at the wink of an eye.... remember LBJ wink when JFK was assassinated... 21Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/1/17 re: A. J. P. Taylor quote Freedom is subjective so how can it win or lose... if you don't pay your taxes you are thrown into debtors prison. If you don't follow the sheeple you become an outcast.. If you don't bow down to the security forces you are beaten or killed. The bitterest lesson is knowing you have no freedom. Live your life as best you can and be happy.... Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 8/1/17 re: George W. Malone quote Wow! I wonder what he would say if alive today - same age but 2017 - sixty years later! Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 7/31/17 re: P. J. O'Rourke quote I could argue for hours on this subject but what would it achieve... The greatest affluence in India was once ruled by a dictator.... 2 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 7/31/17 re: James Montgomery quote This could easily be said of today. The people no longer have control of their country, no control over the judicial system, and no control period. Voting has become a total sham and our politicians are all corrupt - in it for greed and a good pension. Unless things change rapidly America will become a third world country run by the military and the corporate elite (Fascism). The deep state is now in charge and is desperately trying to kill any opposition - American hypocrisy is beyond belief, how they can sanction Russia when the US interferes everyday with the sovereignty of other countries. And, having military aircraft flying over North Korea trying to provoke then into war. The US has over 800 bases around the world and this and much more is where our tax dollars are spent. One bomber would pay for all the hungry in our nation. Food stamps are a waste of time as they are secured by criminals, and abusers of the system. The US should set up shelters and food stations to stop this crisis. The other great crime being perpetrated on the American people is the worst health care system in the west - I think the US is number 37 in the world and surely the most expensive. I was in health care for a short while but during that time I could see how the whole system was being abused and mismanaged - the amount of corruption by physicians, hospitals, facilities, and big pharma is the cause. Single payer, well managed, would stop most of the abuse - I wrote a letter the health commission in Washington laying out possible plans that would not cost a cent more in taxes and needless to say received no reply. Health Care in America, along with our military/CIA etc, and our political system, will bring the US to its knees and will result in a revolution of mega proportion. The real enemy is not in the East but here at home - through our silence and apathy we the people are as guilty as the criminals in Washington - we are the enemy..... 1 Reply Robert, Somewhere in the USA 7/18/17 re: Adam Smith quote I wouldn't quite go as far as to say "uninterrupted effort" but he makes a valid point....
