I really liked most of Reese's columns. No one can agree all the time. In the case of this quote, I agree absolutely (and that is only a start to the criminal activities of the 535)

No surprise, the 16th amendment was sold to the public as the "income redistribution" act.

Washington DC has been co-opted by the private central bank, the Federal Reserve. EVERYTHING Washington does is according to the bankers plan. It is no accident that everyone is in debt and that we must borrow to pay for just about everything. We must be put in debt to learn a trade, buy a car or house, health care (whether we are holding the debt personally or our government is). Everything Washington does now is decide who to take money from and how, and who to give it to -- of course, it is never enough, so they 'borrow' more loading us up with unpayable debt. This is no accident -- this is how it is designed to work. We pay for our own oppression, and Washington merely determines who to stick it to.
