I didn't quite know how to rate this, thumbs down for the reality or, 5 stars for accuracy. The easiness of the way leads to greater and greater bondage.

I agree Mike, the easiness of the way is a wide road which covers the narrow path we are each assigned to discover ourselves.

A portion of every nation are too lazy and apathetic for liberty. They have the mind of slaves. Thanks to the welfare state, our portion grows daily.

Tribes love independence , Those that feed themselves from the back of another mans labor love bondage. Remove an agent from his natural habitat he becomes dependent. For the common man, personal liberty without liberty of his wealth only makes slaves that may move about. Like a bird in a cage, house,or nation. As one of the largest denominational religions once said, some tribes are more slippery than others. But the land and natural resources of a country can only be abused after the oppression is accomplished. A toaster is not wealth, but the grain to make the bread is. Give a man or woman the oversight of another mans wealth with the respect of persons, they make slaves. The lies and entrapment begin.

Do nations become corrupt ? Ours has gone from Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and Franklin to Pelosi, Reed , Franks, and Obama, so you be the judge.

It should be so!

Perhaps there is not as much attention put into 'Independence' as there is for 'Rights' to the point that people around the world now are being duped into thinking that they have a 'right' to government benefits. The government does not want Independent citizens -- it wants Dependent wards of the state. "It is your 'right' to be a slave." ;-)

I like the brevity. Unfortunately, for half our population it may well turn out to be true.

Independence is the exsercising of that right. The dupe of corrupted statesmen perpetuate slavery. Giving it continuance. Our Declaration of Independence, given to a small tribe, but ( true ) to nature, the phrase tribe of christians coined around 63 AD. is of great value. God is a spirit and through all organic, creating tribes to understand inhieritence, rights, laws of nature declared by the very creation itself . That is our tribal right. And perhaps a better education along these lines of thought should be given. He taketh up the isles as a small thing. KJ. That seed, leaf, of knowledge, the holy substance of the seed,is the knowledge of the whole truth given to some of our founding fathers. Of a true and just weight and balance and judgment. With all wisdom to do good . So was done,by our tribe of christians, in establishing this nation. But men and women get lazy and lax through liberty with out independence.

It is completely accurate. Much of today's society would rather live shackled to the velvet chains of government "stewardship" than be free to make their own choices and to live their own individual lives. People today are too easily satisfied with the way things appear rather than deal with the harsh realities of life. It is much easier to claim "victimhood" and demand "benefits" than work and strive for a better life.
