A racist used to mean pride in one's cultural heritage and NOT the hatred of another race. My how the definitions of words have changed over the years. Discriminate used to mean an individual educated decision about "anything" as to whether the thing or circumstance was right and best for him/her. Prejudice was an uneducated decision. Now they are all hate words. Bang on Mike if political correctness was your point.

I think it was good to be a radical and a liberal under Sowells rules or definition but sad to be a racist under his rules if I entirely get his drift.

Waffler, you are adrift.

I missed all the nuances, I guess, but can't pass up the chance to say "at least, Waffler isn't waffling." ( Not funny ? )

Because I don't believe in racial inferiority or racial superiority I was a "nigger lover" in the late 50's and 60's and a raciest today. I wage war on women because I recognize they are physically different but in no way inferior to men. I'm homophobic because I believe homosexuals are just as capable as any one. I'm ashamed we encourage people to accept inferior status due to race, gender, and sexual preference by offering them special conditions, rules, and laws that imply they are too stupid, weak, or lazy to compete on their own merits and therefore need these special conditions. It's downright insulting.
