My how the definitions of words have changed over the years. Discriminate used to mean an individual educated decision about "anything" as to whether the thing or circumstance was right and best for him/her. Prejudice was an uneducated decision. Now they are all hate words. Bang on Mike if political correctness was your point. Reply joe, cresson 3/25/09 A wise man with common sense. Reply Waffler, Smith 3/25/09 I think it was good to be a radical and a liberal under Sowells rules or definition but sad to be a racist under his rules if I entirely get his drift. Reply Bill Dunphy, Northville, MI 3/25/09 Reply E Archer, NYC 3/25/09 Indeed how the meaning of words has changed. A radical is one who speaks the truth. Reply David Ben-Ariel, Toledo 3/25/09 Urban League of Liars Re: Urban League Asks Obama to Address Black Issues The hypocritical Urban League of lying thieves would rather blame color than character, further fulfilling stereotypes that have too much truth in them, as realists dare to acknowledge at the risk of being branded "racist" by obvious racists with their double standards, promotion of reverse discrimination, and other parasitical practices that feed off "white guilt." Reply warren, olathe 3/30/09 As always Waffler is lost in confusion. Reply Roy Boone, MS 3/29/10 I think 90% of a all "racist" now are black. Reply John Stallings, Windsor,nc 3/31/10 Reply J Allen, Arlington, Va 9/24/14 Sowell's perspective has a way of showing the foolishness and hypocrisy in terms that anyone other than Waffler could understand. Reply Bruski, Naples FL 9/24/14 Our new leaders believe in "Rule of Men" NOT "Rule of Law".Sad to see the demise of justice in America.Cheers,b Reply Mary - MI 9/24/14 Thomas Sowell always gets to the most pointed TRUTH.And, Waffler - You fully need to get a clue. Reply Bob, Charlotte, VT 9/24/14 I missed all the nuances, I guess, but can't pass up the chance to say "at least, Waffler isn't waffling." ( Not funny ? ) Reply Rick, Waimanalo 9/24/14 Because I don't believe in racial inferiority or racial superiority I was a "nigger lover" in the late 50's and 60's and a raciest today. I wage war on women because I recognize they are physically different but in no way inferior to men. I'm homophobic because I believe homosexuals are just as capable as any one. I'm ashamed we encourage people to accept inferior status due to race, gender, and sexual preference by offering them special conditions, rules, and laws that imply they are too stupid, weak, or lazy to compete on their own merits and therefore need these special conditions. It's downright insulting. Reply Ronw13, Yachats Or 9/25/14 Thank you, Mary. :) Reply E Archer, NYC 9/26/14 @Rick, I like your comment! ;-) SaveOk2 SaveOk2 View CommentsClick to view or comment.
