George Washington summed up our Second Amendment RIGHT succinctly when he stated:

"FIREARMS ARE THE LIBERTY'S TEETH."

Also for a chilling history of disarming citizens and the resulting genocides in multiple countries going back to 1900, look up The Genocide Chart published by "Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership". It is online unless the leftist budding communists removed it. If it's not they do have a website.

Indeed...but what is usually left out of these truths is the fact that the citizens were first disarmed by the wannabe dictators.

Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership have compiled a genocide chart starting with the Ottoman empire back in 1900. This organization is low key but has been around for over 30 + years. Some had relatives who died in the Holocaust...preceeded first by gun registration and then confiscation. The same pattern that has been in action here in the United States for decades.

Now we have a "president" intent on destroying our Second Amendment RIGHT and isn't even trying to hide it! Notice as well, the deliberate weakening of our justice system. Criminals are being turned loose in some states (IE: New Mexico for one) because they "committed low level crimes". Is the left so bereft of brain cells they don't get that if a thug gets away with a "light" crime he's not going to go out and commit an even more serious crime?? But also notice the lack of concern over the fact that when it comes to guns, punks just don't bother with going to a firearms class, getting a certificate, taking it to the local sheriff's office, getting fingerprinted, photographed and then waiting patiently for their legal conceal carry "permit".

Tyrants are hesitant to attack armed citizens...think about that one the next time the leftist disinformation 'media' starts blathering about gun control. Hint: guns are incapable of committing violence all by themselves.

Someone asked Ben Franklin what was the best form of government, he answered; "A Republic if you can keep it." Sadly "We the people" have been so busy pursuing the American dream, the big house in the suburbs, the fancy car, sports games and whatever else catches our fancy that we've completely ignored the most important sentence in our once revered documents; "OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people." With the the precious few exceptions willing to hold politicians accountable, to watchdog them, to stop them from growing fat and complacent on our hard earned money as we go about our day ignoring them as they sell America out to the highest bidder. Pass petty "laws" dangerous to our liberty and freedoms, raise taxes as they sell out our manufacturing to nations who hate our liberties and freedoms. Trash the strength and morals that hold a nation together, destroy the truths of our Founders, step more and more on our freedom of speech, interfere in the very ways we raise our families. And now in almost a blood lust, destroy our justice system and threaten the American people with destroying the very Amendment that George Washington called "The Liberty's Teeth" as the present fraud in our White House opines: "You don't need a gun, I'll send the United States Army against you"....Our Founders would recoil in shame at the lack of vigil We the People have kept.

Denise, Durango

Sadly we now have a "government" (see:regime)  that does not and will not accept that truth...over the past many years we've lost our freedoms piece by piece. We as a nation have either forgotten or just ignored the phrase "Of the people, by the people, and for the people." And it means just that. The government was established to represent us, not what it's become.
It takes time to watchdog politicians and call them to task. We also have a bloated over "populated congress" who's decided THEY are the end all, be all of what we "may" or may not do. America is no longer free in the sense that our knowledgeable Founders designed it to be.
We the People have, in the pursuit of the American dream, allowed it to become a nightmare. Ben Franklin put it succinctly:
"A Republic is a great thing, IF you can keep it." Samuel Adams put it even stronger: "When a nation forgets it's God, tyrants soon forge it's chains." Unless there's a massive change in 2022, or the supreme court does it's job, or more importantly American citizens get real about holding these politicians accountable with focused determination, America will be spelled with a K. Amerika, the once and free nation full of promise and future...that became little more than a side note in the 20th century.

The bottom line is willing ignorance...we're "too busy".  We the people have allowed socialist/fascist "teachers" and "professors" to infest our schools and colleges and rot the minds of our children. We the people do not bother with questioning or delving into the backgrounds and beliefs of those we elect... Ignorance of our history is a "must".

Ignorance of our Constitution and Bill of Rights, our Declaration of Independence and just plain laziness and/or "pursuing the American dream" has all but obliterated what was once the most prosperous, opportunity rich, FREE, educated and determined nation of people in the history of the world. America was an experiment, one predicated on the experiences of intelligent and thoughtful men who knew oppression and tyranny...one that was fought for, bled for, and thoughtfully discussed by men well educated with some of the most brilliant minds ever assembled.

America, land of football, baseball, dancing with the stars, getting the newest car, the biggest house, sending our kids to the most "prestigious" (and far left) universities, ad nauseam.

We the people are to blame for our own demise because we've paid only lip service or been to busy "pursuing the American dream" that WE have allowed to become a nightmare. But the most important thing we've denied and in fact have all but kicked completely out of our nation is the One Who brought it together in the first place. Samuel Adams put it painfully true when he said "When a nation forgets it's God, tyrants soon forge it's chains."

Denise, Durango

According to my 1941 Websters Dictionary (way before the "woke" started degrading speech) "liberalism" is the, and I quote; "Free exchange of ideas." Unquote....obviously the pretend "libs" have a lack in reading and understanding, let alone accepting truth and reality, problem.

Denise, Durango

Evil has become "good" and good has become evil. The democrats in 2016, booed keeping God in the pledge. In 2020 they didn't even bother to mention Him. They are the party of the Klan and slavery...now the party of in your face treason, fraud and destruction...and the alleged "news" is right there bought and paid for. Sam Adams said so many years ago; "When a nation forgets it's God, tyrants soon forge it's chains."
The left and the worst traitors the rino's, are self serving and treasonous...sadly they will probably get away with treason where in a true Constitutional Republic they would be hung.
But the judgement they will all face, unless there is a massive change, will be more unimaginable than they could even begin to surmise.

Denise, Durango

Although he is long gone his quote is a painful look at today. But even the Founders were keenly aware of this (read "Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law)...and there were a few "off thinkers" tho' who doggedly held the view that America should have once again been formed as another monarchy, yet a draconian monarchy was what they'd just escaped....obviously those few must have been the origins of the democrat party...

Denise, Durango

How absolutely true...just the advertising alone with ambulance chaser after ambulance chaser hawking his "wares" every 5 minutes, feigning "Concern" over your 'unfortunate' circumstances but ready to ride in on his Lear Jet and "give" you the money you "deserve". And lest we forget...almost every single democrat in the process of destroying our teetering Republic is a lawyer.
As it says in Luke, chapter 11; "Woe to you lawyers, for you weigh men down with burdens hard to bear, while you yourselves will not even touch the burdens with one of your fingers!". "Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered."
Even our Lord warns of lawyers.

Indeed, if one looks back to just 9 countries dating to 1900, with gun confiscation being the first official act of "gummint" between 55 and 60 million citizens have been murdered by gummint... and that's just a rough estimation.

Denise, Durango

Oh how painfully true this is. My own sheriff told me years ago I had, by writing pro-second amendment letters to the editor, trying to educate those on the consequences of disarming citizens, congress, governors....I was on the FBI's list as an enemy of the state...if you dare go against those who are intent on the destruction of our liberty, our Constitution, our very America...you become their enemy.

Denise, Durango

To make the list more complete one must ad "news media" who lick the hands of their gummint masters...they are doing their bidding in pushing this covid 19 in our faces throughout the day and evening..."social distancing"...stay home, stay 6 feet apart, stay in your car, wash your hannies...you will be arrested if you don't obey your leftist "guvners"....and the one that brings up almost instant nausea with it's precious moments platitude "we're all in this together"....really? Then pray tell...why are folks being told to stay home, in DEMORAT CONTROLLED STATES under threat of arrest?

Denise, Durango

This is the democrat "platform" to a tee.

So much misconception or just plain lack of knowledge about God. IF you want to know more about Who He is  "The God You May Not Know" by Pastor David Jeremiah might open your eyes.
God is not some "entity" sitting on a cloud "out there" Who has no say in our lives, bad or good. He is involved in our daily lives whether you want to believe it or not. We live in a fallen world.
There is evil in the world. Bad things happen to good people. Things that we'll have no understanding of in this world. No I don't understand why it's allowed...but we make choices whether to chose it or chose Him. He hears all prayers...and we have no clue why He does or doesn't answer them. The Creator is not accountable to His creation. We will know someday.

Denise, Durango

Indeed, if you have no knowledge of the One to Whom you pray. You might think about getting to know Him...you will someday meet Him as all who've gone before, are alive now and those in the future will. That's not speculation. It's truth. Prayer has brought about miracles...but again, if you deny Him and care less about really knowing Him...don't bother.

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of bondage." Gal. 5:1
When a nation forgets it's God, tyrants soon forge it's chains.
America has corporately turned it's back on God...until and unless there is a massive return to His statutes, a realization that God brought this nation together and that it will only remain free if He is once again our Supreme Ruler...then let's pray for strength, the ability to fight back and good aim.

By the by...John F. Kennedy was not a man of morals. He was notorious for having multiple women in our White House as president while married to his wife Jackie...not to mention Marilyn Monroe who, when she became a problem, mysteriously "died of an overdose." The word adulterer is rarely ever used anymore because so many have turned away from absolute moral truth...the whole idea is do whatever "feels good."

Denise, Durango

Indeed, it has nothing to do with religion...and all to do with a Holy God who is above all religion, and Who is the Author of morality. Morality didn't evolve from some primordial slop, it wasn't invented by some scientist or grown in a garden...any more than emotion, sorrow or happiness. It didn't evolve through millions of years. There is no genetic structure in morality. It exists only in the hearts and minds who chose to adhere to it. The war on morality in our nation is coming from those who've chosen to ignore Him at their ultimate peril, who have decided that they don't have to follow any morality except what they decide it is....this is exactly why our nation is slipping down the drain.

Denise, Durango

Interestingly enough Gandhi is also credited with the statement that one of the darkest days in India was when citizens were divested of their firearms. He was a brilliant man and no fool.

God is often portrayed as the "bad guy". Unfortunately there are far too many "evangelists" who have become rich and "famous" twisting not only His word, fear mongering, but Who He is, and beating people over the head with His word. God does not "crush" individualism...every soul who's ever lived and now lives is an individual. He does not beat people over the head. Indeed we're urged to follow His will...but sadly too few will take the time and personal effort to understand who He really is. C.S. Lewis put it best: "The best thing about Christianity are Christians, and the worst thing about Christianity are Christians." God gets blamed for the stupid and insensitive things many self proclaimed Christians do...it all boils down to caring enough to understand His word and Who He is...

Mr. Trice from Fort Worth nailed it. What many don't know is that MacArthur and disappointingly, Dwight Eisenhower were called upon, and did, to route the bonus vets (WW1)who had been promised by the "gummint" a bonus for signing up to fight in WW1. Over and over they were denied until they gathered together and went to DC where they camped on the ground that's now the reflection pond and petitioned the gummint daily for the money they were promised. They didn't threaten, fight or cause trouble, they just wanted what had been promised them. MacArthur and Eisenhower were assigned the task of running the veterans out, which they did. Destroying their tents and belongings, causing injuries to these men who'd been lied to and literally stolen from. But then the native Americans who had lived here for generations, before our ancestors arrived, were promised all kinds of pie in the sky, were ultimately slaughtered, imprisoned and forced into the most hostile lands the gummint could force them into...until of course, oil and uranium were discovered but that's another story.
P.S. our grandpa's never got their bonuses.

You need to do your homework. Obama was surely tied to this communist as his good buddy...that is irrefutable. Obama's books (an exercise in nausea, and yes I waded through them) were studied by those who know writing styles well and determined them to have been ghost written by Ayers...himself a terrorist who was the first one to bomb the World Trade Centers and later opined "I wish I could have killed more people". Ayers is also a "professor" (see brainwasher)  in a college. Ayers is filth, he is a traitor and a murderer and shouldn't be breathing free air. Your Obama hates this nation and everything it was built on and spent 8 long painful years trying to destroy it. HE is the one who declared war on our law enforcement and caused the division in this country. Do your homework. Obama is a traitor of the most vile kind voted into office by fools many of whom patted themselves on the backs for "electing a black man". By the by...he is half white but yet is the most destructive racist ever. But then as a democrat it's amusing as the Klu Klux Klan was born in the democrat party.

The problem with that quote now is that it was written in 1948. The so-called "human rights" spoken of then have no likeness at all to what's being pushed now. The UN is arguably the most self interested, anti-openess, anti-free speech and criminal organization in the world...

Re: Robert Edwards...indeed "religion" is combative at best...and is so because all humans have been given free will. It has unfortunately "replaced" the one true God. He is truth, He is not religion and never was. But isn't it sad that you, like so many others, are content to believe in the "evils" of the church but carefully avoid the world wide good that Christianity has done for untold millions in countries all over. But then that would actually require an open and truth seeking mind. The heart is wickedly deceptive...ALL hearts. But there is a way to overcome that. Problem is because of pride man fights submission to the one True Creator.

Actually taken loosely from collections on the state of the world during King Solomon's reign. Just read the book of Ecclesiastes...Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived...and considering the complete lack of "scientific" evidence, made statements on the state of the world and the order of the universe that have only recently been "proven" by scientific means. Many deny there is a Supreme Creator that has designed this world in ways that the "evolutionists" miss entirely...and no doubt deliberately. Nothing in this world is a mistake, and man kinds attempts to control "climate" or otherwise are a foolish endeavor...man in NOT in charge and never has been.
