We need to apply the principles of our Declaration of Independence NOW, to our current government, before it's too late, as it warns us to do. We cannot afford to be complacent and inactive. I think we are again at the crossroads, we again have tyranny in government, Grigsby, who commented above knows it. As do millions. I'm old now, lived a good life, sad to see our country again in the hands of traitors and corrupt politicians. I can't say what I want to, does that not tell you all the situation we are in? The light in the night. For nearly two thousand years the light of freedom, the divine right of every person on the planet. Has grown and did grow to fulfillment. With great opposition every step of the way. The dark night. The children of the kingdom were surly cast into outer darkness. But a candle was lit in the night to guide us by freedom, from the law of oppression to the law of faith so making peace, for our selves, with commonality of natural affection. In this exsperiment of administering the grace of God in the form of our government and sacred teaching of conduct, a filling up of certain children is obtained, knowing the floods of the storms would roll upon our shores, the flood of imagration. Our attention is not only on our phisical salvation but our spiritual destination. If we believe in divine rights we also believe in our divine destiny of a new creature. Many thing are to be said of what will become reality. But as long as true watchmen are called the stand and fight for our form of freedom and liberty will go on for a purpose. There is a destination in mind. God bless America and have mercy upon us all.

I think people need to read this and wake-up

We all need to read this glorious charter on a regular basis to remind us of the deep tap roots that anchor our country. Our founders didn't blow innocent people up to gain power. They opened with a quick line of explanation of what they were doing and followed that with the clear and profound words of what they believed. They were taking on the most powerful nation on the planet. They had no navy at all. They had little more than an armed group of hearty fellow patriots. They did have those touchstone beliefs and proposed to create a new form of government of the people, by the people, and for the people. They also set down in this same document the right of the people to change this new government if it didn't meet their needs or overthrow it if required! Some feel we may have reached that point. There is no doubt in my mind that some changes need to be made. I hope and pray, on this anniversary of our country's founding, that the required changes will come peacefully. God Bless America!

Perhaps the greatest statement of universal human affirmation ever voiced. Perhaps too the starkest reminder of social empowerment and its concomitant responsibility ever given breath. It's our heritage ... though hardly our present national reality or even anything close to it. I believe a clear understanding that it's the PAST being honored today will be in the forefront of truly thoughtful people's minds. For the rest of America beer, barbecue, boom boom and Nascar will suffice to reinvigorate a false, however useful IMAGE of US freedom and greatness.

The declaration of dependence says we treat each other fair and with reasonable justice or we are just a bunch of evil criminals. You can't harass, spy, bully, and misrepresent and expect life, liberty, and happiness.
