Dr. Ron Paul Quote

“When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans. Deficits mean future tax increases, pure and simple. Deficit spending should be viewed as a tax on future generations, and politicians who create deficits should be exposed as tax hikers.”

Not much room for confusion as I see it.

A few days ago, Obama had the audacity to tell some students at a community college that the government shouldn't spend more than it takes in. This from the biggest spender in American history, Naturally he plans to solve this problem not by cutting spending but by raising taxes. Thank you Mr Obamunist.

What do you expect for an end game that has taken about 30 Reagan-years to play out? This is the final play, until somebody snaps...us or the rest of the world, maybe both I'm afraid, and it looks like we are starting to in Wisconson and Benton Harbor, Mich. now in "political martial law" !

Couldn't be any clearer. Ron Paul has been warning of this for many years. Those people in his district keep reelecting him because they understand his message. What's wrong with the rest of the nation?

Justin, Elkland

Fear not. Our grandchildren will grow far stronger and wiser than we in the poverty that we are visiting upon them. I only hope they don't judge us too harshly, though I won't blame them if they do.

It amazes me that fools like this equate balancing the budget by increasing the earnings achieved to deficit spending... hum, seems that they wish for society as a whole to not work harder and excel... they want to turn the government into what they term a "welfare mother"... the truth comes out! It is also amusing (in a sick sort of way) that the cost of cleaning up the mess made by Bush II gets laid on the hands not of the GOP who were in complete control when they made the mess, but rather on those who take the responsibility of cleaning it up. And they do this while still working to make the mess worse, claiming that reduction of taxes will reduce the deficit - they don't even understand the most basic aspects of budgeting!

Amen Dr. Paul. End the Fed, Restore the Republic.

J Carlton, Calgary

Reston you are a liar. The GOP under Bush did NOT have complete control. And I suppose you want to exonerate the Clinton administration and their little Kenyan buddy for turning Freddie and Fanny loose with no restraints so that "everyone could own a home"? THAT is what started the meltdown.

Would be nice to see Dr Paul, Dick "deficits don't matter, Reagan proved that" Cheney, George "read my lips no new taxes" Bush, and George "double tax cut for the rich and biggest deficit spender in history" Bush II, in the same room. Might have to throw in Bill "budget surplus as far as the eye can see, and debt reducer" Clinton into the mix to give the good doctor some moral support.

Waffler, Smith

It is sad that all of us above have a different bag of facts. How are we ever going to man up and face our obligations if we keep doing this? I will research who is the biggest deficit spender and report back. PS: When Bill Clinton started running surpluses after years of deficits by the likes of Reagan and Bush the silly repubs in Congress complained "but that is the peoples money". While they were right what they never point out is it is also the peoples debt and it is time that we man up the fact.

Ron Paul is neither Democrat or Republican but a libertarian as myself. He carries a Republican title as Barry Goldwater did because it is difficult to get a 3rd party on the ballet. He knows cutting taxes and SPENDING at the same time is best for America, particularly the federal spending they do getting into individuals personal business.

Waffler, Smith

The biggest deficit spending administration was Ronald Reagan at 2.5 trillion, his two proteges Bush I and Bush II come in at 1.5 trillion in the red each. The best of all time was the surplus Presiden William Clinton who for eight years amassed a 1 billion dollar surplus. The previous surplus President was Harry Truman. The biggest deficit as % of GDP was 1943 at 24%, Obama's inherited mess in 2009 amounted to 13%. Just the facts, just the facts!

I love facts......

J Carlton, Calgary

Well "just the facts", where does Obama fall now? As a biggest spender than all previous Presidents "combined". Just the facts!

The whole blame the left, blame the right BS is exactly what the real slave masters want, all the while laughing their way to the bank. "All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise not from defects in their Constitution or Confederation, nor from want of honor or virtue, so much as downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit, and circulation." (John Adams) A privately-issued, interest-bearing, fiat currency is a banker's trick -- the system of which is designed to steal the property and savings of those forced to trade with it. Bankruptcy and bail-outs are inevitable and thus planned. The Bush's, Clinton's, and Obama's are banking stooges, and most of Congress are hand selected and funded by the same folks who have taken their con 'global' -- hence the term globalists. As far as they are concerned, they own you -- and you would be hard pressed to prove them wrong.
