Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/18/13 re: Anthony J. Dennis quote Great comment, Mike. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/17/13 re: Theodore Roosevelt quote Of course if you criticize Obama, you are automatically branded a racist by liberals. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/14/13 re: Dr. Mary J. Ruwart quote Government always gets in the way and things go South. Back in the days when the Duma ran everything from the top down, The Soviet Union had those great 5 year plans. They never worked so they would have a new 5 year plan about every 2 or 3 years. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/13/13 re: Jean de la Bruyere quote Most of the people in the U.S. Congress have no discernible qualifications to govern and the President has even fewer. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/13/13 re: St. Augustine quote Mike, the Lysander Spooner quote accurately describes our Congressional and Presidential elections. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/12/13 re: Senator Carter Glass quote The nonsense that comes from Waffler is truly amazing. Waffler, listen carefully, I'll use small words. Insurance companies and banks do not tax anyone. My insurance premiums and bank charges are voluntary as I can choose not to have insurance or a bank account. The key word is "voluntary". Get someone with at least a 3rd grade education to explain this to you. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/12/13 re: Frederic Bastiat quote If I steal your money and buy a BMW and someone else steals your money and gives it to the poor orphan down the street, which of these two events are theft? For Reston, Dick and Waffler, they are BOTH theft. Give me a regular good old crook any day over a Washington politician. At least when the crook steals my money he doesn't tell me it's for my own good. 4 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/12/13 re: Calvin Coolidge quote Mike, trying to get Waffler to "get it" is like trying to teach a pig to whistle. It's impossible and only annoys the pig. 5 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/11/13 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Reston, we are supposed to be the government. We sowed the wind by turning it over to rotten politicians and are now reaping the whirlwind. As to good government, there is no such thing, only some less oppressive than others. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/11/13 re: L. Neil Smith quote He also said " Government is a disease masquerading as it's own cure". How true !! 5 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/7/13 re: Joseph Banister quote J Carlton is right on about Waffler. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/7/13 re: Ted Stevens quote But they can target conservative groups. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/5/13 re: William Cash quote Won't it be nice when they are "Dead in the Water'. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/4/13 re: Dr. Lawrence W. Reed quote E Archer, good comment. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/3/13 re: Tom Anderson quote "Government , even in it's best state, is but a necessary evil, in it's worse state, an intolerable one." Thomas Paine Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/3/13 re: Jacob G. Hornberger quote I give it 10 stars, at least. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 6/3/13 re: Charlie Reese quote Everything is fine as long as "they" are goring someone else's ox. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 5/31/13 re: Dr. Ron Paul quote Waffler, you must be on something that adversely effects the brain, otherwise, how could you write such nonsense. Ron Paul is right on target and the Hitler comparison is insulting and crazy. You've stooped low before but this is your all time lowest,so shut up and crawl back under your rock. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 5/31/13 re: Daniel Pilla quote Be careful of a different tax. You may wind up with a new tax AND the income tax. A consumption or sales tax would be better as everyone would pay it when they made purchases. The best solution would be a return to a constitutional government, get rid of most of the government bureaus and we would have no use for most of the current mishmash of taxes. This will happen when pigs fly. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 5/31/13 re: Charles A. Bowsher quote Waff, this mess started way before Reagan and Bush. Try 1913 when we got the income tax and the Fed. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 5/30/13 re: Dick Armey quote I prefer a thief to a politician. At least the thief doesn't tell you that he's robbing you for your own good. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 5/30/13 re: Benjamin Ward quote Ben in Ames, don't be too hard on Waffler, He's good for some comic relief. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 5/30/13 re: Art Buchwald quote Beware when politicians talk of Tax Reform. They surely aren't planning to cut any taxes, you can bet on that. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
