No, some of us are doing something daily. And we are risking. We just can't be heard by the progressives who we have in office. You know those people who gave this pledge: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God. They, however, lack any honor or courage and probably don't even understand the words because they don't have corporate or union dollars attached to them. It is your 90% of the congress that is dishonest and not listening, but there are a lot of us working to put honest people, citizens, in office and rid our country, thru voting (hopefully they are not as corrupt as the government), of the thugs, thieves, and tyrants.

Ken, It will likely be the last FREE thing they can do...remember the Native Americans...they were killed for singing while being penned up...it is knowing history that prevents a nations deterioration. I love it. Every country has a flag and it is the physical item that is flown to indicate a loyalty to one's country. We have a country full of weak men and whiny women now who have one goal and that is to satisfy their every little whim and make you follow suit. Individual liberty, which is what made this a great country, and we were not only great, we were prosperous and we were GENEROUS but that is all gone to the slackers and those who want to be on the dole...people today have no clue what it is to love their country so a flag is just fabric...they would lift their leg on it as quickly as they do the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Gone is any self responsibility, self reliability self sufficiency or self respect. I am pretty disgusted with the current majority of thugs, thieves, and corrupt people who have their hand in my pocket. But schools teach children to be disrespectful of their country, and parents pay no attention, and it will fall apart as we are witnessing. Still, I love the symbol...I don't care who he was, the author...it is a good pledge...another thing no one honors...

Linda, you have been misled by the media. It is the government (not the 'rich')that is siphoning off your money and with it they bail out their friends...the climate folks, the health care folks, the environmentalists, the unions, the United Nations, the energy folks, etc., not the rich...as in 'worked for a living, built a business, hired a lot of workers to produce something' and then "got rich". They were productive and earning. Our very own government ruled, regulated, and taxed most businesses out of the country or out of business and is still doing so...but do you see those friends of the executive office getting poorer??? Nope, just you and I. Find a patriotic group to stand with, vote anyone out of office who does not adhere to his/her Oath of Office and therefore the US Constitution. This is our guarantee and we must reclaim it by voting out those who walk on it. You can start by doing small things, like sharing the Constitution, learning about it, VOTING, working at polls so you KNOW there is no funny business going on. Learn who the Secretary of State is and if they have an impeccably honest history...don't be silent for as a much more intelligent person than I said once, "silence is acquiescence."

Let's see, how would you not pay taxes...clothing is taxed, gas is taxed, your home is taxed, in some cases food is taxed (food housing shelter), wages are taxed befor you get them, if you own anything and don't pay them, you can be relieved of ownership (so by definition you have no real ownership)...so tell me...how do you not pay taxes? We could all join the military and as reps who take an oath to uphold the Constitution...no wait, we have 535 and one top fella who promised and didn't honor...well, here we are, between a rock and a hard spot. But we had better do something and NOW or be happy to live like Cubans, Chinese, Venezuealans, in spite of how hard we work for our money and life...we are being socially engineered right into that hole. But I am standing.

It is interesting, this quote, in that is makes one think about what is being said here. The second sentence actually gives much respect to the first and it seems that is overlooked by some. I give it 5 stars.

So it will require courage to take a stand. We can do this with mass sharing of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Both can be downloaded, purchased, or given out by your congressman. Let us stand.

I love it. The experiment was well worth it...that people could actually freely live, be self responsible, self reliable, self sufficient and grow this into a great nation. Yes, the original people conquered, and it was the norm at the time, still goes on today. But nowhere has a country done so well, done so much, been so kind (outweighs the downside) than this country. But alas, as with Rome, the citizens have been busy filling their glasses with wine and the slimey snakes have taken up residence ... slithering into every little space...Will you stand?

Once disarmed liberty is lost. It is a historic fact. This country is marching in the direction under the leadership in DC to a population of serfs. We have weak men and whiny women. Self-responsibility, self-reliance, self-sufficiency=self-respect. Who will stand? Not most of you here...you are too narrow minded to see the whole picture. Government has been removing liberties since 1915...and 2012 is the goal...who will stand? Not most of you. You didn't grow up into real adults; you need a government wet nurse. Shame on you. I will stand...for my country, for my Constitution...and I am a very old woman...but I have seen what has happened in this world...you are in for a very rude awakening. Once disarmed, liberty is lost.
